Artist of the Week: Paolo Rivera

So, from now on I have decided to write about an artist that has influenced me or that I really like every week. Hopefully this will help you understand where I get my inspiration form.

This week I have chosen Paolo Rivera. I haven't known about him for very long but I really love his style! I love how he brings back the old "Jack Kirby" style back into todays times. His style has class and is timeless. Most artist nowadays have gone or tried to mimic the anime style but to me they just haven't been able to grab my attention and feels saturated. This guy breaks that mold. He paints using traditional media and uses himself or make little gadgets for his art references. I love it!


While I was browsing his blog I found the best rendition of The Punisher. I love how he designed his face it brings so much attitude and looks like he is someone not to be messed with. I love how Paolo gets involved with his work; looks like he becomes the characters(like an actor would). Very inspiring! Now you know why people get as good as they get. They become their artwork or their craft and thats what separates them with regular people.
